Streamlight Inc. introduces infrared active illuminator versions of four key tactical hand-held and gun-mount flashlights, featuring the latest in high power infrared LED technology. The new models include the hand-held IR Super Tacand the IR TL-2 LED and the gun-mounted IR TLR-1 and IR TLR-2®. All four lights are designed to provide law enforcement officers, tactical and military personnel with long-range infrared illumination without compromising night vision. The IR TLR-2 also comes equipped with an integrated infrared aiming laser. Each of the new lights features a high power, 850-nanometer infrared LED, which is impervious to shock, with a 20,000-hour lifespan. The IR TLR-2 also includes an 850-nanometer laser for long-range targeting. All four lights feature Streamlight's proprietary deep-dish parabolic reflector which provides a concentrated beam with optimum peripheral illumination to aid in navigation. Both the IR Super Tac and the IR TL-2 LED feature a push-button momentary or constant "on" tai cap switch for easy, one-handed operation. The tail cap on each light rotates for a "Safe" position. Both lights feature up to 3.5 hours of runtime to the 10% output level. The IR TLR-1 and IR TLR-2 mount directly to a range of handguns with Glock-style rails and 1913/Picatinny rails. Both the IR TLR-1 and IR TLR-2 come with keys for Glock-style, Picatinny, Beretta 90two, S&W 99 and S&W TSW rails. The IR Super Tac also fits certain Streamlight rail mounts and can be operated with certain Streamlight remote switches. The IR Super Tac is 6.62 inches long, and weights 7.1 ounces, while the IR-TL-2 LED measures 5.25 inches, and weighs 4.7 ounces. The IR TLR-1 weighs 4.18 ounces while the IR TLR-2 weighs 4.72 ounces. Both IR TLR models measure 3.26 inches in length.
